Primate Parasitology

Dr. Klára Petrželková is the first collaborator with whom GMERC worked, with correspondence dating to 2006! Since then, Klara and Bara have each spent time at Issa, and numerous studies have resulted from their research of Issa primates' parasites. Most recently, Bethan Mason - left, LJMU alumnus and PhD student at Masaryk University - conducted a study of baboon parasites on an anthropogenic gradient between Uvinza and Issa. We continue to learn much about the health of Issa's primates from Klara, Mara, and Bethan's efforts...and look forward to more work in the near future!
